The Green Republic
This youth-driven grassroots tree planting organisation from Ghana aims to “Reconcile Humanity With Nature Through Restoration”. They are active in Northern Ghana (Tamale South Constituency) to help contribute to Africa’s Green Wall project and have an ambitious goal of planting 20 million trees by 2028 so as to contribute to global efforts at overcoming climate change. They involve local teams, mostly women, to not only plant trees but also maintain them, providing important job incentives in this part of the country.
Life Terra has invited The Green Republic team to plant trees on behalf of donors interested in adopting trees in Africa. Also, they will test Life Terra’s tree tagging technology to help bring more transparency to their initiative.
