Municipality of Den Bosch
's-Hertogenbosch colloquially known as Den Bosch, is a city and municipality in the Netherlands with a population of 160,783. It is the capital of the province of North Brabant and its fourth-largest city by population. The Municipality has been a key partner in our mission to promote reforestation and sustainability. Together, we have carried out a wide range of tree-planting projects involving the local community, universities, volunteers and companies. One of the standout events took place in Rosmalen, where volunteers of all ages came together to plant 2,000 trees, thanks to the support of Laagste Prijs Garantie and Caterpillar.
We have also collaborated with educational institutions, such as Avans University, where students planted 1,000 graduation trees as part of a unique tradition, and with the Amsterdam International Community School, where students pledged and planted over 800 trees for their service project. These events not only foster environmental awareness but also involve young people in hands-on climate action.
In addition to educational partnerships, we’ve worked with organizations like Arbo Unie, contributing to reforestation efforts in the region. Another notable project is the Voedselbos Haverleij food forest, where volunteers planted the first 1,000 trees to create a 4-hectare forest that will serve as a biodiversity hub.
This strong collaboration with Den Bosch has resulted in thousands of trees planted, making a significant contribution to local green spaces and long-term sustainability.
