International Tree Foundation
The International Tree Foundation (ITF) is a century-old charity dedicated to planting, protecting, and promoting the essential role trees play in supporting both people and the planet. Working closely with local communities, ITF aims to restore forests, capture carbon, combat climate change, and boost biodiversity. Their efforts not only focus on environmental restoration but also on enhancing livelihoods, supporting gender inclusion, and improving agricultural practices through agroforestry. In the past 12 years, ITF has successfully planted over 6.8 million trees, making a significant and lasting impact. Their work underscores the importance of trees in providing vital resources such as food and medicine, and their commitment continues to grow.
Currently, ITF is collaborating with the "European Tree Planting Day" initiative, joining forces to focus on reforestation efforts in the United Kingdom.
