Desert Leaves Foundation

Desert Leaves is a Spanish foundation with a mission to increase and disseminate knowledge about forests and forestation in dryland regions, to connect and support people and organizations around the globe that are involved in dryland afforestation and forest preservation, and thus to support initiatives that pursue the growth of sustainable forests in drylands.

In a first collaboration Desert Leaves supported the implementation of Life Terra’s 2022 Spring tree planting in La Junquera, Murcia. In this very dry and desertified area a lot of attention to soil building, mulching and other water retention techniques was applied. Both foundations aim to extend the collaboration in upcoming seasons with new tree planting projects in Spain and beyond.
