Cascos Verdes
The educational programme Cascos Verdes (Green Helmets) aims to fight against desertification and ecosystem degradation in Spain. The initiative is driven by Cifal Málaga, the Junta de Andalusía and Amazon Spain.
Its first line of work was to improve the forest environment after the 2021 fires in Andalusia, in the south of Spain. Now, they are expanding to more regions in the country.
They did a first project with Life Terra in Las Rozas, Madrid, where we planted together 150 trees and shrubs to restore the Dehesa de Navalcarbón. We hope to expand this collaboration in the near future.
