Volterra visits a planting area in El Garraf, Barcelona

This week, the Volterra team visited a planting area in el Garraf, near Barcelona. The land is a fauna passage, an "elevated" platform built to connect two forest areas fragmented by a road. Planting trees and shrubs on this site will encourage fauna to cross between the two patches of land, thus reducing habitat fragmentation and enhancing wildlife connectivity.

Life Terra, in collaboration with Selvans, Diputació de Barcelona, and Ajuntament de Vilanova i la Geltrú, aims to involve all stakeholders in protecting and enhancing local ecosystems.
