Sustainability event with Adyen in Las Rozas

After several weeks of heavy rain across Madrid and much of Spain, we were finally able to return to the field, this time with a team of 20 volunteers from Adyen.

This marks the third year of collaboration with Adyen in Madrid, and some of the participants have already become familiar faces. Their experience showed as they helped plant 90 native trees and shrubs, covering six different species.

The activity took place in the Dehesa de Navalcarbón, an area we've been focusing on this season. Thanks to the group’s work, we were able to increase both the species variety and canopy cover, supporting the ongoing restoration of the local ecosystem.

The following day, a second group of 12 volunteers from Adyen returned to the Dehesa del Navalcarbón to complete the planting efforts started by their colleagues.

Together, they planted another 90 native trees and shrubs from six different species. This final push helped increase the site's biodiversity and ecological resilience, while also enhancing the landscape with a variety of vegetation layers and future flowering zones.

In addition to planting, the group took part in a Nendo Dango (seedbomb) workshop, spreading tens of thousands of native aromatic flower seeds across the area — an engaging way to further support pollinators and enrich the habitat.

We’re grateful to Adyen for their ongoing commitment to sustainability, and to the Municipality of Las Rozas for guiding the group through the urban orchards of Finca de la Talaverona and for their consistent support.
