Miyawaki food forest in Meurthe-et-Moselle
Exciting news from our “Meurthe-et-Moselle” tree planting project in the North East of France! Over 2 days, local school kids and other volunteers came together to turn conventional cropland into a dense future food forest with a total of 22 different trees and bushes. This is Life Terra’s second “Miyawaki” style forest in France and our first “productive” one, with fruit-bearing trees included.
We couldn’t have done this without the support of our partner EY Luxembourg, who contributed not only the trees but also spades and other materials for our local partner Restore Forest. This project will inspire European landowners to adopt regenerative agriculture practices with more tree cover, as trees play a vital role in the land’s future resilience.
Thank you to everyone who made this possible!
