Last planting day of FNyH in Ría de Solía

We're again in the field with Fundación Naturaleza y Hombre - España, and also this time the foundation engaged their community in Cantabria to plant trees!

This was the last of several planting activities this local NGO has organised in the beautiful Ría de Solía this year. This river area is close to Santander, in the North coast of Spain.

Before planting, participants removed invasive species to make room for the native trees. Then, a mixture of riparian species was planted to enrich the biodiversity of native flora and fauna.

Thanks to the soft rain the night before, the terrain was perfect for planting and participants enjoyed the activity!
