Amazon Web Services Inc. (AWS) is a subsidiary of Amazon that provides on-demand cloud computing platforms to individuals, companies, and governments. They own a global network of datacenters, with a strong presence in Europe. Their sustainability work includes enhancing energy efficiency, transitioning to carbon-free energy, reducing embodied carbon, using water responsibly, driving a circular economy, and enabling sustainability for customers.
AWS EMEA has recently entered a partnership with Life Terra to provide hyper local community projects in & around major cities in Europe. The project will focus on delivering tree planting and climate education to a diverse group of local stakeholders. Currently, the first projects are being developed, stay tuned for more news!
